during the amendment process and markup I was able to include language which says the Secretary shall ensure that economic benefits of such exchange of information and technology accrue to the U.S. economy. My amendment simply says when we get a report back, as this bill requires, that it would give some emphasis to in fact if that accrual of benefit to the U.S. economy has occurred, and give us some information in that regard.
