George Voinovich is a former Republican politician from Ohio who served as the 65th Governor of Ohio from 1991 to 1998. He was also a U.S. Senator from Ohio from 1999 to 2011. Voinovich's tenure as governor was marked by efforts to improve the state's economy and education system.
