We strongly disagree with that decision, and I’ve asked our legal team to file an immediate appeal. I will vigorously defend our legal authority to safeguard our voter rolls and protect the integrity of Ohio’s elections.

Election officials should never have to fear for their personal safety while performing their duties, and there is no place in a peaceful democracy for violence, threats or acts of intimidation.

Trust is at an all-time low in institutions of all kinds: the government, the churches, the press, businesses, civic organizations.

There’s a whole-of-government approach, if you will, that needs to be taken as it relates to dealing with this.
