Security has always been a core concern of Jewish Federations and in the present climate, a central tenet of our work.

This is the freest, safest country in the history of the Jewish people. But regrettably, as you said, in the last 20 years we have experienced dramatic rises in violent extremism and actual attacks, and we need to fill in the gaps.

I do believe that it is time for the Congress to designate the nonprofit and the faith-based sectors as critical infrastructure to this country with respect to domestic violence.
