I want to thank my colleague, Representative Murphy, for holding this Special Order on such a critically important topic. And you mention that my district borders the State of Pennsylvania, and it does. And I have had so many incidents of…

They want to grow. They are prepared to grow. They want to hire more people, but they can't advance their business because they can't get access to broadband internet capability.
And I think you are highlighting the problem and making the case about why it is so important that these maps be accurate.
I can tell you that in eastern and southeastern Ohio, I have young people that have to go to a neighboring town and drive some distance to be able to get access to do their homework and to do their school research projects.
I can tell you, from personal experience, that that number is probably a lot higher in Appalachia, in eastern and southeastern Ohio along the Ohio River.
It would be premature for us to discuss those issues before or not to discuss but to take an action before the commission finishes their work.
I appreciate that we finally have an administration that understands how critically important it is to bend the spending curve in the other direction.
I associate my position with yours in the sense that our children and grandchildren are expecting us to address this problem now.
I thank the gentleman for giving me time to speak up. I, too, agree that Members of Congress should be subject to the same rules and laws that the American people are. So I support my colleague, Ms. McSally, in this legislation. But, you…

The American people spoke loudly and clearly last November. In fact, they have been speaking loudly and clearly ever since this fatally flawed bill called ObamaCare was signed into law. And now we are hours away from the vote that the…

All right, son, what are you going to do to make sure Washington protects my Social Security benefits because if they do not, I am coming to live with you.
Is it true the longer Congress waits to reform Social Security, the harder it is to implement the reforms without affecting current retirees?
I thank the gentleman for yielding. It is interesting to me that my colleagues on the other side take offense to this being referred to as a midnight rule. This is actually a midnight rule twice. Let's look at how this thing started. In…
Has Obamacare successfully bent down the cost curve in healthcare spending? No.
