I do not want to repeat the mistakes of history.

It's never been the intention of the Ferguson Police Department or of any police department that I know of to intentionally target individuals because of race. If there is that happening it's a crime and its need to be addressed.

This is tense. It's heart breaking what's happened to the community and what' happened to the family suffering that loss.

I do want to see to any peaceful protester who did not feel that I did not to protect their constitutional right to protest. I am sorry for that.
