It just is not fair. We are talking about somebody from Pennsylvania being in the litigation scheme because she sent mashed potatoes to a landfill. We are talking about someone in New York, a small business, being in this litigation quagmire because the small business sent an empty pizza box to the landfill. That is absolutely scandalous. What this is all about, when all is said and done, it is about pure politics trying to trump responsible public policy. There are those fortunately in the minority in numbers who do not want this Congress to do anything constructive this close to legislation. There are those of us from both parties who fortunately will make the majority, when the vote is taken, who are concentrating on shaping responsible public policy, because we are convinced in the final analysis that Republicans and Democrats alike will gain from shaping public policy in a responsible way.
