I am willing to trust that they will be well-trained and well-supervised, as they have been, and as the Gilchrest amendment requires, and they will provide information to help policy makers make informed decisions. I have said it many times on this floor and I will repeat it: The American people want us to do more with less, not to do more knowing less. I urge my colleagues to support this well-reasoned, very carefully crafted amendment, and to endorse our traditional source and encouragement for volunteers.
