I agree completely that the census is about people, it is not about politics, it is about getting the most accurate count possible. Because the census is so important, we must do everything we can to ensure that everyone is included in the count. We know that previous censuses overlooked millions of Americans, especially children and minorities. That is not fair, it is not accurate, and it is not acceptable. We are determined to do better. One of the programs that the Census Bureau has initiated is one called Partnerships With Community Groups and the formation of Complete Count Committees that work in the neighborhoods to help work with the Census Bureau to make people aware of the census, encourage them to fill out their forms, and to improve the counting of all Americans.
