for the 13 billion bucks you guys were requesting, we got a hell of a lot for the taxpayers' dollars to the 11 statutory missions you perform.

I’m glad to see the president strengthening the requirements. I think it’s past due. And I think it’s our job to make sure that people understand that the Republican Party has been reckless and irresponsible on the pandemic.

Our goal cannot just be to keep rural communities alive--we need to do the work to ensure that those communities are thriving and can succeed in a 21st century economy, and that's what I hope to get out of this hearing today.

We have had a summer of strength and we're going to buck history by making history.
