I hope that in the very near future, this subcommittee can take a hard look at what went wrong in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands so we can make sure people in our country never suffer like this again.

the loss of one life is too many, and I can only imagine how this tragedy would have unfolded if Jersey City was not armed with the capabilities they were able to build with DHS preparedness grant funding.
That is long overdue, and I appreciate the gentleman raising that issue again.
