We potentially saved the lives of a lot of students and staff today, and I don’t want to imagine a world where we would be making a different announcement right now.

This was a failure of a society that allows 16-year-olds to get so close to shooting up a school and potentially killing classmates and teachers.
I’m not going to do that. And I’m not for boys going into the same bathroom with little girls.
In the areas that New Yorkers most care about — affordability, public safety, education, and cleanliness — we are breaking records and delivering for working-class people.
This is what it looks like to have a real public-safety strategy and drive down crime.
Our administration is, once again, showing how our competent management is delivering real results for all New Yorkers.
And, you know, we have poured money into after school programs, we have poured money into summer youth employment and internships, so we don’t believe incarceration is the answer.
We’ll do analysis, I think, speak with the police commissioners to do the correlation between that bill and what has been happening since that bill.
While horse-drawn carriages have long been an iconic fixture of Central Park, they are increasingly incompatible with the conditions of a modern, heavily-used urban green space.
This is not about eliminating this tradition — it’s about honoring our traditions in a way that aligns with who we are today.
