When New Yorkers support one another in times of need, we become a better city.
That’s why today, along with the New York Community Trust, the United Way, and the Partnership for New York City, we’re launching a slate of public-private initiatives to support SNAP recipients in our city who rely on these much-needed benefits to put food on their tables.
Now, New York City will be on a path to reach 40,000 police officers in the next three years — the highest number of police officers in 20 years.
Rabbi Kass was a pillar of strength and comfort for the NYPD. He consoled us through the monumental tragedies and personal hardships. Whenever you needed solace or help, he was there for you.
New York can’t be Europe, folks. I don’t know what is wrong with people. You see what’s playing out in other countries because of Islamic extremism.
If you don’t respect law and order and the police, you’re going to see crime go up.
When you lie and state you can freeze rent - you can't freeze rent in NYCHA. You can't freeze rent in Mitchell-Lama. You can't freeze rent in market rate housing. You can't freeze rent, but you are lying and telling people you can do so. We're fighting against a snake oil salesman who has sold us a bill of goods.
Andrew and I are two kids from New York, and when you think about it, Andrew and his brother, and I have three of them, and brothers fight. But when families are attacked, brothers come together. They understand that you have to protect the family.
