I'm incredibly proud of New York's response.

Does he exist, Dr. Bright? Does he file a complaint?

That is simply false. The facts are clear.

You have to improve your communication with this Committee.

You need to improve communications with borrowers. Customer service, across the board, has been an issue that time and again has been raised.

I would implore you that you send to us any request that you consider is essential in order to perform your responsibility of providing economic relief.

At the Senate hearing a few weeks ago, Administrator Carranza said that the SBA was working to add more visibility to the automated system. When will that be completed?

I was the one fighting here to get that money to you.

We need to know if the program worked as intended by Congress.

How would the failure of small businesses, especially those that are women- or minority-owned, adversely affect the communities they serve?

The pandemic has triggered the most severe recession in a century.

We cannot endure another unequal crisis or unequal recovery.

At any time, have you been blocked by President Trump or anyone else at the White House from providing access to information requested by Congress or an oversight body?

I cannot in good sense make a determination as to where the program should go or what tweaks or what reforms the program needs unless we have access to the data.

So, it is not right, and we expect for them to come forward.

I have no information to be able to make any responsible decision at this point.

To compare the loans made by SBA on 2019 to what they have done today is ridiculous.

From the beginning, I have been calling for the administration to provide Congress and the GAO with detailed data regarding the Paycheck Protection Program.

The facts are clear. Americans want to work, and they will when given the chance. But until these jobs return, we must continue to support the millions of Americans who are out of work.

I continue to call for funds to be set aside in the Paycheck Protection Program.

I do believe the Speaker and the Democratic leadership should make sure that Congress is in session, because we have a lot of work to do.

We know the program hasn't been perfect, especially early on. Congress made adjustments, including the Paycheck Protection Program Enhancement Act, and then the Flexibility Act.

So, at minimum, we should expect for the administration to provide data as to the demographics...

It is unfortunate that it is still that high. So, we obviously have a lot of work to do to get that unemployment rate down and get the American economy moving again.
