Nita M. Lowey was a prominent Democratic politician who served as a U.S. Representative for New York's 17th congressional district from 1999 until 2021. She was the first woman to chair the House Appropriations Committee, a position she held from 2019 to 2021, where she played a crucial role in shaping federal budgetary decisions and funding allocations. We certainly cannot allow loopholes to be the means for Mexican drug cartels to operate.
So frankly, it is an outrage, in my judgment, that our gun laws hinder the ability of Federal agencies to protect the public.
