The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill (before the short title), insert the following: Sec. __. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to provide assistance to the Department of Defense to house persons at military installations in the United States, except in the case of a major disaster declaration made pursuant to the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq.), or for U.S. Coast Guard personnel. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 723, the gentlewoman from New York (Ms. Malliotakis) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentlewoman from New York.”
