Political speech is protected speech. Our Founding Fathers enshrined the First Amendment in the Constitution.

I'm sort of interested. You talked, and I think this makes a great deal of sense, about investing in the staff, making sure people know that there are opportunities, for them to be given opportunities for growth within the organization.

I think we would all want to make sure that, particularly given January 6 and concerns about safety, that we would, as I said, err on the side of caution.

The Election Bureau works for the county manager?

It is important to note that the division head of administrative services who reports to the county manager is the person who directly oversees the Elections Bureau.

All we want is an apology. We want the affirmation that elections moving forward will be held responsible and our vote counts.

I would love to have had the opportunity to ask them about their experience since clearly what happened in Luzerne County is catastrophic.

The paper shortages and other issues on election day in Luzerne County in 2022 were inexcusable.

I cannot stop you, but I do want to express the minority's opposition to this since we cannot ask anyone in the video any questions.

Well, I have a parliamentary inquiry before we begin.

You indicated that the county is not answering questions.

We certainly do not want any voter to be disenfranchised in the United States of America.

Such a situation is completely unacceptable, and we share our majority colleagues' alarm.

It is a failure by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its State Department.

This is catastrophic, in my view. This is a complete breakdown of whatever happened.

Well, why do not we just have the link sent to everyone?

I would just note that I believe the January 6th Committee, which you are referring to, I think it was done by unanimous consent.

How do we equalize the time that is being used to watch a video that we cannot ask the person in the video any questions?

There is no doubt there was a paper-related problem or shortage at multiple precincts in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, on election day, November 8, 2022.
