As a woman and a Member of Congress, I am appalled to think that we would cut money for family planning in order to say we are cutting money from abortion. If we have family planning, all around the world we will reduce the number of abortions; and it seems to me that is a good thing. The UNFPA money is not going to force abortions in China. This is a red herring. The former director of that group said any form of coercion is unacceptable. Vote ``no'' on this ill-conceived amendment.
