The Crowley-Royce-McDermott amendment seeks to provide sorely needed funds to the U.S. Agency for International Development Office of Foreign Disaster Relief, the Kathmandu office, so that it may work with the governments and communities of Southeast Asia to develop emergency response and disaster preparedness capabilities. There is no FEMA in India, there is no FEMA in Bangladesh, there is no FEMA in Nepal, there is no FEMA in Sri Lanka.
