Monica Lewinsky testified that no one asked her to file a false affidavit. There is no evidence that the President asked her to file a false affidavit, and the President did not see or ask to see the affidavit. There is no evidence to that. And finally, Monica Lewinsky's affidavit defined sexual relations in the way she clearly understood it, as we know from the tape of her conversation with Linda Tripp. After she was threatened by Mr. Starr and her mother was threatened, then she made an immunity deal, then she changed her testimony to what Mr. Starr wanted to hear. Starr admitted to the committee that he chose when to believe her and when not to believe her. To get at the truth, she has to be cross-examined to determine these contradictions and when she is telling the truth and when not.
