The Public Record
Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the 32nd President of the United States, serving from March 4, 1933, until his death on April 12, 1945. The Works Progress Administration feels that their first responsibility...must necessarily be toward those unemployed persons who cannot qualify for assistance under other Federal programs.
It involves not only the immediate problem of necessity, but a serious question of Federal policy.
I guess there is no further news on something on which there has never been any news.
It is only the possessors of 'headline' mentality that exaggerate or distort the true objectives of those in this Nation.
Because we live in an era of acceleration, we can no longer trust to the evolution of future decades to meet these new problems.
Law defines a relation not always between fixed points, but often between points of varying position.
The future, however, rests not on chance alone, not on mere conservatism, mere smugness, mere fatalism, but on the affirmative action which we take in America.
