Eliot Engel is a former member of the United States House of Representatives, serving New York's 16th congressional district from 1989 until 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, Engel was known for his work on foreign affairs, particularly as the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Throughout his tenure, he focused on issues such as international relations, healthcare, and education. Engel was an advocate for various social justice initiatives and played a significant role in shaping U.S. foreign policy during his time in office.
Hezbollah has continued to terrorize the globe, reaching into Latin America, Europe, Asia, and across the Middle East.
This important effort will result in fewer resources falling into the hands of terrorists.
Through sanctions, we hope to cut off Hezbollah's lifeline and prevent future terrorist attacks.
