Congress has long expressed bipartisan support for the human rights of the Iranian people.

I am proud to support all of the good bills that we will be advancing today.

This important resolution expresses our unwavering commitment to democracy and human rights in Nicaragua.

The fate of Tibet, its people and resources and religion are a strategic interest to the United States, but above all they are entitled--they are entitled--to freedom and they are entitled to democracy.

This year, incidentally, I plan to nominate the Hong Kong protestors for the Nobel Peace Prize and hope that my colleagues on this committee will sign that letter of nomination.

I am proud to support this measure and hope all members will do the same.

If Chinese officials infringe on the religious freedom of the Tibetan people in this manner, we will hold them accountable.

The Trump administration's efforts to weaken these protections through regulatory actions jeopardize the health coverage of my constituents.

I want to thank the leadership of Members like Congresswoman Kuster who authored the Protecting Americans with Preexisting Conditions Act.

But the ACA has enabled over 20 million Americans to become covered, including a hundred thousand of my constituents.

Healthcare is a human right, and I believe that H.R. 1384 will help every American access high-quality healthcare.
