If they had not abolished the Europe and Middle East Subcommittee, that subcommittee would be in effect now, doing these kinds of things. Mr. Speaker, they talk about Iran. Where were they during the Iran-Contra scandal? This is a political ploy. It is election year politics at its worst and it should be defeated.”
