I want to say, however, in closing, that I think we have made some real progress in the last couple years in the industry, in the private sector. And even though I think there are some problems that we will have to deal with as we go about it, managed care has been helpful, managed care has done something to control prices. I think more and more people are becoming aware of their responsibility with regard to payments. I think it is true that third-party payers have been part of the problem of costs. We can work that out. So in any event, I rise in support of the basic bill. It guarantees coverage of the type of insurance particularly important today, and I compliment the Senator for it.
