The Alternative Minimum Tax elimination requested by the President is not retroactive. It is a 1 percent stimulus for the economy: $100 billion over the first 12 months, 1 percent, and it costs $160 billion over 10. Even former Secretary of the Treasury Bob Rubin could not say this was inflationary. It is the right medicine at the right time and we need to put the right vote up, that is an 'aye', on H.R. 3090.
