I do believe that the sense of this resolution is to make sure that medical decisions are made by the medical professionals, but I do have some concern about the wording because it says that it is the sense of Congress that decisions regarding medical care and treatment should be made by the physician or, and here is my concern, health care professional. I am concerned about the class that would be covered by the term health care professional, because it is possible that some of those categories may, in fact, be jobs that we would not want to have the decision making and treatment recommendation in their hands.
