Is it the Chair's ruling that you cannot rule whether or not a resolution that's agreed to by the House and the Senate does not go to the President? Is that the Chair's parliamentary ruling, that you cannot give us an answer to that basic parliamentary question? The SPEAKER pro tempore. The Chair will only respond to inquiries that relate directly to the current proceedings.

I know what you can't get. And I agree with the chairman, that is outrageous.
If they can't give us any idea how long it would take to repair this emergency situation--which stains the government, it stains the executive branch, and it stains us--maybe we should set a date for our next hearing.
I wish I could staple them to every town hall meeting that I attended just so that you can shatter the fear and the ignorance of people not having the slightest idea as to where our country is going with trade.
I support the idea of providing incentives to the Tax Code for community colleges, for low-income students...
