I want to thank my colleagues, and especially Dr. McDermott, for bringing this piece of legislation to the floor to give some assistance to American citizens who found themselves in Haiti during this tragedy. This comes under the Social Security system, and I'm glad that Dr. McDermott was able to bring it to the floor. I have never been more proud of the Congress, my country, and, indeed, citizens throughout the world for rallying to the cause of these young people.
