while I am sure it will come as no surprise, our onion growers in Orange County are proud to receive few government subsidies. However, the current plight of these hard-working producers threatens the overall fate of our Hudson Valley, our State, and Nation's agricultural industry. As their representative, I can no longer allow that unique and devastating situation to go unnoticed and unassisted, and thus I greatly appreciate the gentleman's willingness to work with us on this important matter. I thank the chairman.
