You do have to start to worry about if this thing goes on too long, that it does have the potential to hurt the candidates.

I think Mitt Romney will win Florida by 9 percentage points, and it's going to be a good-sized win.
I think Mitt Romney is going to win Florida by nine percentage points. It's going to be a good-sized win.
But no matter what, Newt is going to have a very difficult February. Mitt Romney is about to have a very good February because of states that vote in February.
When he said my trustee, that part stuck out at me. My trustee? How many people have trustees?
What propelled Newt in South Carolina was the debate performances. We all knew it when the debate was in the middle of the debate, Newt was going to win. Tonight, you don't get that sense of surge. I think Romney takes Florida, and this is…
The problem is that President Obama has governed so far from one side.
he can talk about the middle class, he can set the table, he can try to move the nation's debate to the issues that are most favorable to helping him get re-elected.
The problem we had is the president who famously said there is no red America, no blue America, just the United States of America has now made it a point to talk about millionaires, billionaires, corporate aircraft.
The president is saying he'll raise every tax he can find on you. He's already raised the Medicare tax. He wants to raise the income tax. And now he'll take away all your deductions.
The elephant in the room is the United States economy. It's spending. It's the economy. It's jobs.
I do think that there's a prioritization to federal issues in a presidential campaign.
It's oversensitivity that starts to accuse Republicans who are saying that the solutions to the most intractable poverty problems are found in the private sector.
The way to get those people help is as Newt talked about through private sector programs and reliance on the private sector.
There's not a government program or spending program that's a solution to that.
I think there's too great a sensitivity about people, who just say Republicans are evil, Republicans are racist, Republicans are wrong.
Oversensitivity that starts to accuse Republicans who are saying the solutions to the most intractable poverty problems are found in the private sector and the government needs to do more to put people in private sector program.
I'm proud to be on Newt's side and on the Republicans' side on that issue.
The problem has been there's such an overreliance, particularly in the Democratic Party, that the solution to poverty is more government spending and more federal programs.
Newt has got to decide that. Newt can do tremendous damage and Newt could never win the presidency.
Newt has to make a judgment call about what does he want to get out of being in this race.
