Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is an American politician and activist serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district since January 3, 2019. Ocasio-Cortez is known for her grassroots campaigning and her ability to mobilize young voters, making her a prominent figure in the progressive wing of the party.
