In fighting this mayor, we have come against budgets that have sought to take away from the working-class people of the city of New York.

New Yorkers can’t afford to live here, City Hall is in chaos, and Donald Trump is corrupting our city’s independence. It’s time to stand up.

Why lead if your default is to insist that something is too hard, or that we just can’t do it?

Adams has lost the confidence and trust of his own staff, his colleagues in government and New Yorkers.

We are prepared to defend against violations of the law, but this announcement only deepens the concern that the mayor is prioritizing the interests of the Trump Administration over those of New Yorkers.
