In September, Nevada added 1,300 new jobs while unemployment dropped for the fifth consecutive month to 4.7% — the lowest level since before the pandemic.

“By working together through Shared Stewardship, we can improve access to outdoor recreation while supporting rural communities, local businesses, and an industry that contributes billions of dollars to Nevada’s economy.”

I welcome Arizona’s partnership as we work toward a fair agreement that requires all seven Basin states to share responsibility for protecting the Colorado River.

This is an important step in challenging a federal plan that unfairly burdens the Lower Basin and fails to require the Upper Basin to make meaningful reductions.
