The actions from our first responders, state agencies, and local and federal partners have been nothing short of heroic while battling the Hawk Fire.

This year, I look forward to continuing our partnership as we pursue meaningful policy changes that strengthen student achievement and make it easier for teachers to do what they do best—teach.

I commend Mike Dreitzer and the GCB for their diligent work to uphold Nevada’s longstanding regulatory standards, safeguard the integrity of our gaming industry, and ensure the public can continue to have confidence in its oversight.

Over the last month, thousands of Washoe County residents have faced the uncertainty of evacuation, displacement, and, for some, the loss of their homes.
