Today, we are in the midst of what may likely be the last week of this legislative session. Last night, the House passed by voice vote H.R. 5164, the Transportation Recall Enhancement Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) Act. The legislation is similar to S. 3059 and has the support of both Republicans and Democrats in the House. While the House bill does not go as far as the Senate bill in some respects, it will nevertheless advance the cause of safety.”
