Harry Reid: “The country is better off having a real democracy, not a fake democracy. Sixty percent is not a democracy.”

Let ‘em do it. Why in the world would we care? We were trying to protect everybody.

But the purpose of politics that Harry Reid understood very well is to get stuff done.

I didn't make it in life because of my athletic prowess. I didn't make it because of my good looks. I didn't make it because I'm a genius. I made it because I worked hard.

I didn’t have success because of my good looks, or because I was a genius. I had success because I worked harder than anybody else.
