I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it recess and convene for pro forma sessions only, with no business conducted on the following dates and times, and that following each pro forma session, the Senate recess until the following pro forma session: Friday, August 5, at 10 a.m.; Tuesday, August 9, at 11 a.m.; Friday, August 12, 12 p.m.; Tuesday, August 16, 11 a.m.; Friday, August 19, at 10 a.m.; Tuesday, August 23, 2:30 p.m.; Friday, August 26, at 11:15 a.m.; Tuesday, August 30, at 10 a.m.; Friday, September 2, at 10 a.m.; and that the Senate adjourn on Friday, September 2, until 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 6; that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed to have expired, and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day; further, that following any leader remarks, the Senate be in a period of morning business until 5 p.m., with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each; finally, that following morning business, the Senate proceed to executive session, under the previous order.
