And to try to divert attention, as he has tried doing in the last few minutes--blaming the Obama administration for stopping torture, the detention centers, pulling troops out of Iraq--I say, my friend is looking in the wrong direction. The issue before us is not to be--and he is, in effect, criticizing the House of Representatives for passing this FISA bill, to reauthorize it in a way that is more meaningful to the American people and makes us more safe. It makes it so people feel more secure about the intelligence operations we have going on in this country.…”
