I am very concerned about the integrity and the security of our democracy in America. The United States is a nation that has always been and must always be governed by its people. Later on today, I am going to see Ambassador Baucus. He is someone who has always talked about how we have to make sure the people determine what we do. America must never be subject to undue influence from foreign powers. Potential conflicts of interest involving our Nation's elected officials deserve our highest scrutiny.
