We cannot change these programs in any way that will break the safety net that has sustained the most vulnerable in our society.

I do not support raising the retirement age for Social Security recipients because I do not feel it is fair to ask a construction worker... to work two more years in the blazing sun.

The Federal budget is more than a theoretical document that is only debated in Washington with no impact on families throughout the United States.
