As my father would say, we must pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. We must do our duty to the American people and fund and fight this battle, and we will win.

The battle against Alzheimer's is a battle we must win. If we do not, it will cripple our Nation.

I am cosponsoring bipartisan legislation introduced by members of this Committee--Chairman Collins, of course, and Senator Cortez Masto--to tackle these challenges.

We need to ensure our communities and our health systems are able to meet the needs of those living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers.

It is my hope that the voices of our witnesses here today--and the voices of those of you in this room today--will help us get this bill to the President's desk.

Under your leadership, the OCC is actively trying to change the Community Reinvestment Act.

Correct. Thank you. And so in ensuring that there is no discrimination, let me ask you this: Are you ensuring that the banks are complying with the Fair Housing Act?

So, clearly, the concern that you have seen from many of my colleagues with respect to the Community Reinvestment Act and ensuring there is no discrimination in lending.

I think HMDA lite does not give us enough information to determine whether there is discrimination or not.

And so with that, you are ensuring the banks----

Do you anticipate continuing more of those webinars and those conversations to actually continue that collaboration and coordination and kind of get through some of the maybe barriers or things that may hinder it?

Do you believe that the private sector is best equipped to build, deploy, and secure 5G networks and that any proposals that consider nationalizing these networks will have a chilling effect on private investment?

And when you say you are working with the private sector, meaning relying on the private sector to build and deploy it and not nationalize it.

Smart communities is something that we have talked about as well, and it is emerging in Nevada.

How do you delineate projects or facilities that should not be candidates for title transfer?

How would Reclamation ensure that tribal interests and homelands are protected in developing a Reclamation pump storage permitting program?

Do you believe that Reclamation has the capacity to implement a WIFIA-like program?

There's a lot of small projects that actually need resources that Reclamation just does not have the resources to help.

How do you see the program intended to fund non-federal water projects complementing the mission of Reclamation projects which are federally owned?

Let's stay on the WIFIA discussion draft proposal.

Senator Cantwell has made clear she wants this issue addressed before marking up this bill.

I want to draw attention to the need to protect tribal interests affected by this bill.

The discussion draft complements the legislation we are considering.

The issue of title transfer is one that the Committee is actively discussing.

Yes, I think we would get agreement here from this Committee on that subject.
