I am honored to introduce Dr. Stephanie Woodard, the Senior Advisor on Behavioral Health for Nevada's Department of Health and Human Services.

I want to thank our witnesses for being here today and for their important work in our communities.

The impact that COVID-19 has had on tourism is one of the most important issues facing my State of Nevada.

I really fought for in the ARP, because our tourism and travel industry had been so hard hit.

Are you going to make it clear that tourism marketing is an eligible and worthwhile investment?

I support the President's effort to bolster the domestic clean energy manufacturing, but we do not have the domestic solar panel production capacity to meet current demand.

We thank Chairman Wyden and Senator Cortez Masto for the inclusion of Medicaid crisis care funding in the American Rescue Plan.

Oh, I could not agree more. And that is why I so appreciate Chairwoman Stabenow for having this hearing today, and all the good work that she has done on this issue in addressing mental health in our communities--and Senator Blunt as well.

the Advance Child Tax Credit portal should provide access for taxpayers who find themselves in unique situations, such as domestic violence survivors.

Thank you, and I look forward to that partnership as well.

I hope you consider them in a favorable way. That benefits continued improvements in northern Nevada.

No youth in this country should experience homelessness: we just need to find ways to address their situation.

What has the Administration done to raise awareness of these flexibilities among entities like legal aid organizations that help clients navigate SSA benefits?

It will require BLM to prioritize permitting and realty applications.

The Interior Department must be focused and be a present partner.

In Nevada, 85 percent of the land is owned by the Federal Government, and 60 percent of that is managed by the BLM.

I'm committed to continuing that work and would look forward to doing so.

How many have been trained?

I really appreciate the conversation today.

My concern during this pandemic and the challenges that we have seen for children particularly, the isolation and not being in normal school, that has impacted their mental health.

I understand. I am telling you they have, and so I appreciate that, but as somebody that now is making you aware of it, I would assume--maybe I should not assume--that you should be concerned about it.

The OCC Rule will predictably spur the proliferation of rent-a-bank schemes by nonbank lenders in order to evade both State interest rate caps and other State consumer protection laws.

In the FDIC's 2019 How America Banks survey, 5.7 percent of Nevada households had taken out a payday loan. That is the highest in the Nation.

As a former Attorney General, I have to be concerned about those individuals who are out there that literally are using it to skirt around State laws.
