I think that anybody who goes to a doctor and talks about their physical health, and has a funding source for that, that should be on par with mental health.

I hear every day that one of the most critical ways we can protect kids' mental health is by keeping our schools open.

My goal has been to tear down that barrier and do away with stigma.

Mental health and substance use disorders are health care issues, not crimes.

People in crisis related to mental illness and substance use disorder are more likely to encounter police than get medical attention.

I think the lessons are still to be learned, because we have not completely emerged, certainly, from the effects of the pandemic.

I think that diversity is important for this particular board because it is important that the members really mirror, represent the rest of the country.

The BLM and other agencies require lengthy NAGPRA consultations, is the DOI undertaking any effort to reduce the length of the process?

One of the issues that has come up again and again is the lack of funding that has delayed efforts to fully realize NAGPRA goals.

what funding commitment is needed to meet goal of law?

I also know the National Park Service just hired a full-time investigator to enhance oversight and compliance with NAGPRA.

There should not be a case where there is a tribal community that is not being recognized in the community lending plans for the Federal Home Loan Banks, and we are going to have those conversations and that will not be the case.

Will you commit to working with my office to ensure that the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco improves on its record of investment in Nevada?

Will you ensure that the community lending plans are reviewed and appropriate to the needs of their communities?
