“My simple point was that the same agency that approved the puffer machines is going to approve the explosion devices; and my feeling is that the agency has been ill-managed since the beginning. We have a desperate need on the southern border today, right now. The TSA, in finding equipment and funding equipment, both now and in the past, has been shown to be very, very ineffective. I would just say, we have an emergency crisis on the southern border and all along the northern borders. We have 13,000 Border Patrol agents to work that entire range of 5,400 miles and we have 43,000 TSA officers and inspectors.”
