The transition to renewables and modernization of the grid are crucial to the residents of the island.

The need to modernize our grid across the United States has reached a major inflection point.

Access to electricity is not only a necessity, but a basic human right.

We must act to get new energy technologies to the market and widely adopted to help fight climate change.

This effort is more important than ever, and I am so excited and honored to be able to help carry this bill

I am so proud to sponsor H.R. 4863, which is the Partnerships for Energy Security and Innovation Act

Our National Labs in particular generate billions of dollars for our local economies.

We have a lot of important work to do as a Committee to help ensure that we are building a thriving STEM and S&T economy.

It's truly an honor to be able to serve on the Science and Space and Technology Committee.

It is unconscionable in this century that we still have communities and families across the Navajo Nation and other tribal communities that do not have access to safe drinking water.

The health, and well-being, and resilience of our communities depend on it.

We need accurate weather forecasting and effective data gathering to predict these weather events.

Climate change is already impacting communities across the United States.

NASA's work is critical, of course, not only to taking us to the far reaches of space, but also for understanding our planet here at home.

I am tremendously excited to see the increases for the Earth Sciences Program at NASA in this budget because I think they're extremely important.

NASA is also extremely important as an economic engine for all of our States.

I would just like to also echo many of the words that we heard today about diversifying our STEM workforce and our aerospace workforce.

We have to take action now to address the water needs of our communities and climate change.

The American people know that the science is clear, and that we must urgently address climate change.

It is so humbling, and such an honor to be able to see you serving our Nation.

I am working on legislation to assist states in this transition, those that rely on fossil fuels.

We are in the ground zero of the climate crisis, and must act to prevent the never-ending drought in the beautiful place we call home.

I am so grateful to have you here today. You know how proud the entire state of New Mexico is, and how thankful we are for your leadership, your guidance, and your wisdom.
