I think we'll see again, that Republicans are not going to embrace your land sales proposal and I hope that you'll be interested in looking at other approaches.
We felt very strongly that it was very important to get $760 million because we wanted to do prevention.
I think the first thing I'd say, if you are philosophically opposed to that, that it's just incomprehensible that you'd even contemplate such a proposal.
The administration consistently sends up proposals that are about a half or less of what we had agreed.
Consumers are confused and angry as to why these prices are occurring now. Their anger is stoked by reports of the high salaries and retirement packages being handed out to executives.
I strongly support both of these nominees. I think they're extremely well qualified for these positions.
That's got to be a priority, and it's one that you've worked hard on, Mr. Chairman, and I have as well.
