Given the critical training activities conducted at the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, could you please provide us with an overview of the importance of drones to Coast Guard operations?

The Public Record
I expect to hear more today on the Commandant's progress on the directed actions from the Accountability and Transparency Review.
I am thoroughly, completely, totally opposed to them for many, many different reasons.
I request the committee match these levels by providing the following funds from the FAA facilities and equipment account: $23.4 million for the technical center laboratories.
This year's FAA reauthorization includes provisions that will codify South Jersey's William J. Hughes Technical Center, thereby making it permanent.
Thirty-nine million for the William J. Hughes Technical Center infrastructure sustainment.
Let's understand it. Let's not look at the shiny object. Let's look at the real world here. People on the terror watch list are in this country. We don't know where they are or who they are.
Any Americans that are watching this--and I don't how many are, to be honest with you--they don't want to hear that answer. They want to hear the answer that I want: Where are they? What are they doing? Are we safe? That's the real deal, and we're not getting the real deal.
Yes, but initially we were told six months, and the answer is on 85 percent. That's such an egregious statement to make, this is just not sufficient, and that's why we actually put forward a subpoena to get the real information.
Let's be clear, when agencies delay or fail to comply with Congressional subpoenas, they're obstructing our ability to legislate and address the issues affecting the citizens we serve, period.
I don't want us to lose what the focus of this hearing is, and we have to keep our eye on the ball.
