In this Congress, one of my agendas is going to be to focus on the impact... that offshore wind industrialization has on the Atlantic maritime supply chain.
I know that if there was a difficult situation, I would want someone that was fully trained and certified, and didn't just start yesterday--no fault to that person--handling a situation where so many lives are in danger.
I ask unanimous consent that the record of today's hearing remain open until such time as our witnesses have provided answers to any questions that may be submitted to them in writing.
It is dangerous to the environment, it is dangerous to the Cold Pool, which is a very environmentally sensitive area, it is dangerous to all this wildlife.
I live on the east coast, obviously. I live--it is what is called the Jersey Shore. We now have along the east coast 25 dead whales.
There has been much proof that they are actually going to cost a great deal of money, that people's utility rates are going to go up.
Congress must shine a light on the true costs of offshore wind industrialization, and hold this Government accountable.
