The brutality that you yourself have suffered and the loss of your family members... just underscores the brutality of Kim Jong Il.

North Korea was also just designated this month as one of eight Countries of Particular Concern for its violations of religious freedom.

Please save the 23 million people in North Korea who are living a life of misery not unlike what I had suffered.

We will work hard to promote human rights in North Korea, I can assure you of that.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is known to be the world's most isolated country as its citizens are prohibited from traveling either internally or internationally without express permission.

And we will disseminate it widely among the Members of Congress, so thank you.
